
Striving For Our Survival
Ricardo Navarro is a leading environmentalist and has been International Chair of Friends of the Earth. He is a Doctor of Science in engineering and founded the Salvadorian Centre for Appropriate Technology (CESTA) to address El Salvador's serious environmental problems.
In 1995 Dr Navarro received the Goldman award, the green equivalent of the Nobel Prize, for his contribution to this work. He says "the struggle for the environment is the struggle for our own survival - we cannot afford not to get involved." He talks here on visiting to London - Length 31 mins.
