New Ways of Living
The Centre for Alternative Technology in west Wales is Europe’s best known eco-centre. For over 30 years it has demonstrated ways in which people, nature and technology can live together successfully. From renewable energy and eco-building to energy efficiency and organic growing, the Centre offers practical solutions to environmental problems. As founder Gerard Morgan-Grenville once said, “I had a feeling that something new, some fresh and saner way of living might be demonstrated in this beautiful place.” With thousands of visitors every year, education programmes, courses and consultancy services, CAT aims to inspire, inform and enable.
Listen here to Amanda Roll Pickering as she takes us on a tour of the Centre illustrating the myriad of ways we can live more sustainably. Length 27 mins.
