A Place of Hope and Understanding
The Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation is situated in the Wicklow hills south of Dublin in Ireland. Following its establishment in 1974, the Centre has facilitated initiatives and programmes that have aimed to bring dialogue and understanding in the troubled province of Northern Ireland and in other conflict areas around the world.
Now celebrating its 30th Anniversary, the Centre’s former director Ian White talks about the importance of Glencree’s work and how over turbulent years peace has been waged. Length 25 mins.
