Filming Rwanda Ten Years On
Anne Aghion is a filmmaker who has spent much time in Rwanda , charting the progress and impact of the ethnic reconciliation programmes there. Her Emmy award winning film “In Rwanda We Say - the Family That Does Not Speak Dies” continues her quest to learn how the human spirit survives the trauma of the 1994 genocide. Made with remarkable sensitivity and attention, the style of the film allows one a compelling insight into post-genocidal village life.
Interviewed at a screening in London, Anne tells why she feels it so important to make films in such a way and speaks about the situation in Rwanda ten years on from the genocide. Length 16 mins.
