Bishops Wood Environmental Centre

Bishops Wood Environmental Centre is set in a seventy acre site of woodland, meadows and ponds in Worcestershire. It welcomes visiting school groups and is committed to supporting people creating a sustainable future.

John Rhymer, head of the centre, takes us on an audio tour of the site that also includes some very distinctive and fascinating constructions. One enters the Saxon house through heavy wooden doors emerging into a space with no windows and huge beams supporting a thatched roof. With timber all around one feels the essence of the forest itself in this building. Here, John shares his vision that has transformed wild wasteland into a bustling eco centre - Length 22 mins.
